The idea behind Birdy Num Num Vintage was created by Lisa Saxena and Emma Amos. We met at the beginning of this millennium at a children's birthday party. Lisa had already started her own fashion label, Birdy-num-num, and Emma was dressing up for a living, acting in various films, plays and television productions.

As our friendship grew over the years, so did our passion for vintage fashion. This is why we have come together on this new venture. Well, that, and it also seemed like a legitimate reason for spending even more time on the phone.

The real eye-opener for us, when we first started sourcing vintage bags, has been, firstly, the overall quality of vintage bags and secondly, the detail and delicacy in the design of the bags. This is just unachievable when manufacturing handbags for a reasonable price in today's market.
