Vintage Black Crocodile Bag c. 1940's
" I survived the war. For goodness sake take me out and show me a good time!"
We love this wonderful handbag from the 1940's. It has an air of high quality and sophisticated vintage style! It features a classic, rigid design, and is made from stunning black crocodile skin, which displays a glossy finish. The single handle is also made from crocodile skin - the handle has a slightly raised centre section, allowing it to be held comfortably. Crocodile skin has additionally been used along the top of the frame ; this not only neatly conceals the frame, but the subtly-curved design also compliments the rounded corners and gently sloping sides of the bag. A crocodile skin pull tab assists in opening the bag, once the clasp has been pushed back. The frame and curving clasp are made from gleaming goldtone metal. The handbag is lined with black satin fabric, and there are two open slip pockets; both have gold piping on the upper edges. The logo on the front clasp reads MS. Condition: Excellent, the crocodile skin is supple and unmarked. The interior shows signs of light use.
