Vintage Crocodile Bag c. 1940's
" I survived the war. For goodness sake take me out and show me a good time!"
We love finding crocodile handbags from the 1940's, especially when they are in such fine condition. This one is slightly smaller than the ones we usually come across and it was the unusual clasp which caught our eye. This is a framed bag with two carry handles on either side of the bag. The bag is covered in the gorgeous light brown crocodile skin just leaving the silvertone metal frame and clasp exposed. It is a hinged shaped clasp which shuts tightly and securely. The inside of the bag is lined with dark brown satin and there is one slip pocket. No markers to identify manufacturer. Condition: Good (there is slight cracking to the leather on the sides of the bag)
