Vintage Dorset Rex Evening Bag c. 1950's

Dorset Rex Fifth AVenue are made famous by their lucite handbags ,, but they also made beautiful satin evening bags as well. This is a perfect example, a black embossed satin evening bag. The whole bag including the frame is covered with black embossed satin fabric. The gold tone chain carry handle sits on top of the bag. The inside is lined with sumptuous royal blue satin and there are two open slip pockets. The label reads Dorset Rex Fifth Avenue. Condition: near mint with one slight faded spot to the lining.
