Vintage Black leather Handbag With Gold Handle c. 1950's
"80% of success is turning up....with the right handbag!"
Crouch & Fitzgerald was established in Manhattan in 1839. This is a lovely example of one of their 1950’s bags. Made of sumptuous black leather. The front flap is secured with a popper and decorated with a gorgeous gold tone metal rose with four delicate chains. The gold tone metal rope chain handle is secured to the top of the bag even the buttons which attach the handle to the bag are enamelled with a rather camp regency picture, I am sorry but I could never go out with a man in stockings. The bag is lined with black corde type fabric there are two slip pockets one of which, is zipped. This bag needs to be shown the town again! Condition: Excellent
