Vintage Crocodile Handbag c. 1940's

We love finding crocodile handbags from the 1940's, especially when they are in such fine condition. This one is slightly smaller than the ones we usually come across and it was the unusual clasp which caught our eye. This is a framed bag with one carry handle which sits on top of the bag. The whole frame is covered in the "nearly black" crocodile skin just leaving the gold tone clasp exposed. It is a hinged V shaped clasp which shuts tightly and securely. The inside of the bag is lined with caramel soft suede and there are three slip pockets one of which is zipped. No markers to identify manufacturer. Condition: Near mint
