Vintage Mascot Powder Compact In A Handbag Shape c.1950

Powder compacts in the shape of a handbag that were decorated with fabric were thought to be the most luxurious in the mid 1950’s. This is a wonderful example. Although the fabric is slightly worn, the interior with mirror and separate compartment for loose powder are in excellent condition. A truly rare find. Use it with pride and enter an era where women were proud to be glamorous.
